Imagine booking an adults-only cruise and discovering that the kid-free experience begins before you even reach the ship.
That's the idea behind a new vacation package from JetBlue Vacations and Virgin Voyages, announced October 20, 2026. Called "Do Not Disturb," the package combines dedicated adults-only flights with a four-night Caribbean cruise aboard Virgin Voyages' Brilliant Lady.
The unusual getaway goes on sale October 21, with just 60 cabins available.
While Virgin Voyages has always restricted its ships to guests ages 18 and older, extending that concept to the flights is something entirely new.
For travelers who prefer vacations without children, the announcement introduces an interesting alternative to the traditional fly-and-cruise experience.
An Adults-Only Vacation From Takeoff to Disembarkation
The Do Not Disturb package begins in New York on March 4, 2027, with a dedicated JetBlue flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Unlike a regular commercial flight, this particular flight will carry only travelers ages 18 and older.
After landing in Florida, guests will receive private transportation to PortMiami, where they'll board Brilliant Lady for a four-night Caribbean cruise.
The itinerary includes Key West, Florida, and Virgin Voyages' Beach Club at Bimini in The Bahamas.
The cruise returns to Miami on March 8, followed by an adults-only return flight to New York.
Importantly, this isn't a permanent change to JetBlue's regular flights. The airline is offering dedicated child-free flights specifically for this vacation package.
It's also not a private cruise charter. Travelers booking the package will join other adult passengers aboard Brilliant Lady.
What's Included in the $2,750 Package?
The package starts at $2,750 for two guests sharing a cabin, or $1,375 per person.
That price includes round-trip flights, the four-night cruise, airport transfers, taxes, fees and cruise gratuities.
Travelers also receive several extras beyond the usual cruise fare.
Before departure, guests can access JetBlue's BlueHouse lounge at JFK, although availability is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
The flight includes a complimentary alcoholic beverage, while transportation between the Florida airport and cruise terminal is arranged as part of the package.
Guests must collect their checked luggage at Fort Lauderdale, but staff will then arrange its transfer to their shipboard cabin.
At PortMiami, passengers receive priority boarding through Virgin Voyages' RockStar entrance.
Once aboard, the package includes a private welcome party, a $100 bar tab per cabin and an in-cabin welcome gift.
These extras are separate from Virgin Voyages' usual inclusions, which already cover dining at more than 20 eateries, basic Wi-Fi and group fitness classes.
What Is Brilliant Lady Like?
Brilliant Lady is Virgin Voyages' newest ship, having entered service in 2025.
Like the rest of the fleet, it's designed exclusively for adults.
Rather than offering waterslides, children's clubs and family entertainment, Virgin focuses on restaurants, nightlife, wellness experiences and contemporary entertainment.
Dining is one of the more noticeable differences from traditional cruise lines.
Instead of a main dining room and large buffet, Virgin offers numerous restaurants and casual eateries, with most dining included in the cruise fare.
The ship also features the line's signature Scarlet Night celebration, when guests are encouraged to dress in red, along with a pajama party on the first evening.
For travelers who enjoy a lively atmosphere, modern design and a less traditional cruise experience, Brilliant Lady could be appealing.
However, adults-only doesn't necessarily mean quiet.
Virgin's ships can have energetic nightlife, music and social events. Travelers looking for a particularly peaceful vacation should consider whether that atmosphere matches their expectations.
Important Restrictions Before Booking
Although the package includes some attractive benefits, there are several restrictions travelers should understand.
First, the offer is available only to two guests sharing a Sea Terrace cabin. Solo travelers cannot purchase it.
Full payment is required when booking, and the package is nonrefundable and nontransferable. A name change is permitted for the second guest.
The flights also depart exclusively from New York's JFK airport. Travelers living elsewhere would need to arrange transportation to New York, potentially reducing the convenience and value of the package.
Reservations must be made by phone through JetBlue Vacations rather than through its regular online booking system.
The booking window opens at noon Eastern on October 21 and runs through noon Eastern on October 27, unless the 60 available cabins sell out sooner.
Travelers interested in the package should also compare its total cost against booking a regular Virgin Voyages cruise and airfare separately.
The exclusive extras have value, but that doesn't automatically make the package the least expensive way to take the same vacation.
Could Adults-Only Flights Become More Common?
Perhaps the most interesting part of this announcement isn't the four-night cruise itself, but what it could mean for future cruise vacations.
Virgin Voyages has demonstrated that there's a market for cruises designed specifically for adults. This partnership extends that concept to another part of the travel experience.
For now, Do Not Disturb is a one-time offering, and neither company has announced additional adults-only flights.
However, JetBlue Vacations has indicated that a successful launch could create opportunities for similar packages from additional cities, potentially including hotel stays.
That would make the concept considerably more accessible than a single departure from New York.
For travelers who have always wished their adults-only vacation could begin at the airport rather than the cruise terminal, this limited experiment offers a glimpse of what future cruise packages might look like. Contact us today if you're interested in booking this cruise!
